Professional Articles Objective: Candidates will understand the current research regarding the identification and formative assessment of gifted students by reading and reflecting on a variety of professional articles.
1. Types of Articles
Select four articles that focus on issues related to identification and assessment of gifted students.
Such issues will include but are not limited to types of tests or instruments used to identify the gifted, identifying students from special populations (e.g., learning-disabled, racial/ethnic minority, ESOL, poverty-stricken, etc.), and/or formative and summative assessment in the classroom.
