Choose a picture to represent with splines. Use spline interpolation to reproduce your picture as a drawing. You will need to choose and measure data points relative to a convenient set of axes. Use different splines to approximate different curves in the picture and plot them all on the same set axes. For more vertically oriented curves, you can simply interchange the roles of the variables in your call to the spline function and then reverse the order in your plot command. Include these aspects in your report:

• Discuss your choice of original picture (line, photograph, cartoon, painting) and the implications of your choice for this project.

• Discuss your rationale for how many points to use and where to locate the points.

• Describe which splines you chose to use for various features in the image. If you tried something that did not work as well as your final choice, include that information.

• Discuss how the reproduction qualitatively compares (visually) to the original. What aspects of the original have you captured? Which have you missed or omitted?
