Rewrite the LED Patterns program to read the eight patterns from flash memory instead of EEPROM. This will be a little tricky as the addresses used for the data might conflict with the addresses where instructions are located. For example, you can hardly place pattern bytes at addresses 1 and 2 of flash if these locations already contain instructions of your program. Assuming that your program is not too large, you should be able to place the patterns in an unused area of memory, possibly starting at $0200. The switch data will still determine the lower byte of the address as before, but the upper byte would be $02 (instead of $00). Another possibility is to use an RJMP at address $0000 to jump past the pattern data to the actual start of your program. Do not forget that LPM uses byte addresses, but the assembler’s location counter for the code segment is a word address.
