HINTS: People LOVE photographs – you can get hundreds of photos of ANYTHING at Google Images (basic version)

Your first cell should be an introduction as though you were giving the presentation live:
IE “Hello, my name is John Doe and today I will be shedding some light on the subject of
the pre-human hominids.”
Besides people loving LOTS of photos, they are hooked the moment you tell them personal
information about the people involved – IE the childhood of Louis Leakey, how he met and
courted Mary, etc (with lots of pictures) – NOW you have people’s attention and you can then
tell them about their accomplishments.
Your final cell should be your closing remarks. IE I hope you enjoyed this little adventure into
these discoveries and now understand and appreciate all the scientific work that has gone into establishing our past.”
Other than opening and closing remarks, the writing on your cells (think of them as 3 X 5 cards) should be limited to three or four SHORT Bullit Points. (If you were delivering the presentation
in person you could read from your notes while the audience was gawking at all your killer photos).
Design your presentation to be four to 8 minutes. You are definitely permitted to submit a PPT
copy along with your PDF file IF the PPT presentation includes a recorded vocal aspect.
You are permitted to include BRIEF video content.
You MUST submit a PDF and may include a PPT only if it includes a recorded vocal presentation.
The student will cite AT LEAST 3 sources other than the Text, the Lecture Notes, and Wikipedia, though they may be
included as well.
